In September 2021, Tino Ceberano Hanshi’s biography will be published and launched in Melbourne. It is fifty-one years since Hanshi arrived in Melbourne from Hawaii when he began teaching Goju karate in judo clubs. He opened the North Balwyn dojo in 1970 where we proudly carry on the tradition.
Titled TINO: the Father of Australian Karate, it is being printed in Melbourne and will be available for purchase at the dojo for $40, with colour photographs and signed by Tino Hanshi, surely a collectors item.
